The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem would not be able to do its work without the involvement of active volunteers who serve on the committees that guide the work of The Women’s Fund. If you have skills or interests that that fit with one of the committees below and would like to get more involved, please contact the committee chair of the committee you would like to join.  Below are 2020 Committee Chairs:


Finance Committee

This committee is responsible for overseeing all of The Women’s Fund finances. The committee seeks members who possess skills accounting and financial management.

ants Committee

This committee designs and implements the grant-making process. The committee seeks members who possess skills in the disciplines of grant writing, reviewing grants, and the topical areas that are the focus of the grant making. (The grants committee is at capacity for 2020. Marketing, Events & Resource Development Committee

This committee is responsible for planning and organizing events, including The Women’s Fund’s annual luncheon celebration; oversees all fundraising, along with acquisition of gifts for The Women's Fund Endowment and special initiatives; and assists with internal communications to members as well as external promotion of The Women’s Fund. The committee seeks members who possess skills in the disciplines of event coordination and management, marketing, public relations, media relations, writing, design and fundraising.

Membership Committee

This committee oversees all membership recruitment activities. The committee recruits new members, develops and maintains a speaker’s bureau, and works to retain members. This committee also seeks members to help plan recruiting opportunities and develop activities that keep members engaged.

Research, Education and Advocacy Committee

This committee is responsible for the collection and analysis of data and information regarding Forsyth County women and girls across The Women’s Fund focus areas. The committee also develops educational events and advocacy activities focused on issues that impact women and girls.   The committee seeks members who possess basic or advanced skills in the disciplines of research and evaluation and/or who have a keen sense of the needs of women and girls in the community through their professional or private work.
